The Bewdley School: Statutory Notice
Notice is hereby given in accordance with section
19(3) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006
that the Governing Body of The Bewdley School
intend to make a prescribed alteration to;
? The Bewdley School, a foundation school
whose address is Stourport Road, Bewdley,
Worcestershire DY12 1BL.
The proposed alteration is to acquire a trust
established otherwise than under the School
Standards and Framework Act 1998.
The name of the Trust is The Bewdley School
Foundation and the proposed implementation
date is 30th March 2022. The Trust does not
already act as a foundation for any other schools.
The members of the trust are:
The Bewdley School
Bewdley Festival
Bewdley Civic Society
The rationale for acquiring the Trust is to create a vehicle for developing the school estate for the mutual benefit of students at the school and members of the Bewdley community. This will include developing facilities for the arts, sports and exercise and improving, enhancing or providing new large spaces or halls within the school in relation to the provision of these facilities.
