Various Roads, Taunton (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2022
Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following temporary traffic restrictions as detailed in the Schedules below.
This Order will come into operation on the 10th day of March 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months.
The Works are expected to commence on 14th day of March 2022 until 19th day of March 2022 (between the hours of 18:30 and 06:00) to enable Jurassic Fibre to carry out works for an overlay. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles (Temporary Lane Closure)
Paul Street, Taunton - from the junction with the M&S car park to the junction with the A38 Mary Street.
A38 Mary Street, Taunton - from the junction with The Mount in a westerly direction to the junction with Paul Street.
Schedule 2
Temporary Banned Left Turn
Paul Street, Taunton - from Paul Street on to the A38 Mary Street.
Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road, or
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
