CROYDON COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984 SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND PARKING CECIL ROAD. THORNTON AVENUE & BRADING ROAD. CROYDON
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to construct a new housing development, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Cecil Road, Thornton Avenue and Brading Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-
a) Cecil Road will be closed at its junction with Thornton Road;
b) Parking bays in Cecil Road will be suspended as necessary to facilitate the works;
c) Waiting and loading restrictions will be introduced in Thornton Avenue and Brading Road as required to facilitate the works.
3. During the works the alternative routes for diverted traffic will be as follows, as appropriately signed.
- Thornton Road, northbound - Thornton Road, Thornton Avenue and Brading Road.
- Thornton Road, southbound - Thornton Road, Lombard Roundabout, Mitcham Road and Brading Road.
- Brading Road, northbound - Brading Road, Thornton Avenue and Thornton Road.
- Brading Road, southbound - Brading Road, Mitcham Road, Lombard Roundabout and Thornton Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on the 18 February 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within approximately ten weeks. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(b) Any vehicle involved in the said works;
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to install electric vehicle parking bays and charging points they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking and pedestrian traffic in the roads listed in the Schedule to this Notice.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time in the sections of road listed in column 2 of the Schedule to this Notice;
b) Footway closures will apply in the sections of footway listed in column 2 of the Schedule to this Notice and pedestrians will be directed into a walkway in the carriageway.
3. The Order will come into operation on the 21 February 2022 and remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
4. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

The south-west side, from a point 1 metre southeast of the vehicular entrance to Azalea Court for a distance of 33.6 metres south-eastwards.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984. SECTION 14. AS AMENDED TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR OR PEDESTRIAN ACCESS AND TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate essential highway maintenance works that may take place within the London Borough of Croydon, they have made an Order to amend The Croydon (Highways Maintenance Works) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular and Pedestrian Traffic and Parking Order) 2021, the effect of which would be to allow the following measures to be introduced, providing that the relevant permissions have been granted by the Council, in any street listed in the Schedule to this Notice for which Croydon Council are the highway authority:
(a) temporarily introduce one-way traffic for the duration of the works in those streets or lengths of streets;
(b) temporarily close to vehicular traffic those streets or lengths of streets;
(c) temporarily close any adjoining streets to vehicular traffic where this is considered necessary to facilitate the work in progress;
(d) temporarily introduce banned turns, footway closures or waiting and loading restrictions at any time should this be required; and
(e) temporarily suspend bus lanes/stops, cycle lanes, parking bays or any other traffic restriction as required where this is considered necessary to facilitate the work in progress.
2. Wherever the work happens to be in progress, no person may cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) proceed in a direction other than that indicated by a traffic sign, or
(b) proceed in any street or length of street which may at the time be subject to a road closure until the completion of the work allows.
3. Whilst the provisions of the amended Order remain in force, waiting or loading by vehicles would be prohibited at any time in those streets or lengths of streets specified where work is in progress. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction on waiting imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
4. All works requiring a road closure will be advertised complete with any diversion route on our website at the address below.
5. Frontages affected by the above restrictions will receive notification letters approximately two weeks before any works commence.
6. The amended Order will come into operation on the 18 February 2022 and will remain in force until 30 October 2022, 18 months from the operational date of the original Order.
(Note: The provisions of the Order will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. (Access for frontagers would be maintained whilst the work proceeds).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS PRIORY ROAD. CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to clear blockages in the carriageway on behalf of Openreach, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Priory Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Priory Road will be closed between Mitcham Road and a point 13 metres north-east of that junction.
3. Whilst the closure is in force, the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via Mitcham Road and Canterbury Road and vice versa, or via Mitcham Road, Canterbury Road and Wentworth Road, as appropriately signed. Whilst the closure is in force, access to frontages will be maintained.
4. The Order will come into operation on 22 February 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
6. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle involved in the said works;
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate Openreach works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Westwood Road, Coulsdon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Westwood Road will be closed between its junctions with Downs Road and Fairdene Road.
3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Downs Road and Fairdene Road and vice versa, as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 21 February 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 GALPIN'S ROAD. THORNTON HEATH TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to install new water connections, they intend to make an Order to the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Galpin's Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-
a) The carriageway of Galpin's Road will be closed between its junctions with Walden Gardens and London Road;
b) The south-eastern footway (odd-numbered side) of Galpin's Road will be closed to pedestrians outside No.7 Galpin's Road and between the north-eastern boundary of No. 1045 London Road and the junction with Headcorn Place;
c) Parking within the closure area will be suspended and "at any time" waiting restrictions will apply.
3. During the closure the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below. Pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite footway.
- Via Galpin's Road, South Lodge Avenue, Recreation Way, Wide Way, Stanford Way and London Road; or
- Via London Road, Stanford Road, South Lodge Avenue and Galpin's Road; or
- Via London Road, Thornton Heath Pond roundabout and London Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 07 March 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within nine days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
