MINOR PARKING AMENDMENTS VARIOUS ROADS IN THE BOROUGH
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth on 16 February 2022 made the following Orders under sections 45, 46, 49 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.
- The Wandsworth (Putney) (Parking Places) (No. 2) Order 2022;
- The Wandsworth (Southfields) (Parking Places) (No. 2) Order 2022;
- The Wandsworth (Wandsworth Town) (Parking Places) (No. 4) Order 2022;
- The Wandsworth (Battersea) (Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 2022;
- The Wandsworth (Earlsfield) (Parking Places) (No. 2) Order 2022;
- The Wandsworth (Wandsworth Common & Tooting Bee) (Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 2022;
- The Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Areas) (Amendment No. 607) Order 2022.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be:
(a) in Gressenhall Road, reinstate bay and remove single yellow line from a point 7.7m south west of the boundary of 9/7 Gressenhall Road runs north easterly direction for a distance of 5.2m.
(b) in Hazlewell Road, shorten the bay outside Nos 18/20 Hazlewell Road by 4.2 metres and replace with a single yellow line.
(c) in Wimbledon Park Road, remove 5.2 metres of parking bay outside No. 156 Wimbledon Park Road and replace with double yellow line ("no waiting at any time").
(d) in Cicada Road, at the rear of No. 91 Geraldine Road, to remove 3.1 metres of parking bay and replace with single yellow line.
(e) in Surrey Lane, remove 3.5 metres of parking bay outside No. 33a and replace with a single yellow line.
(f) in Frewin Road, remove 3.6 metres of parking bay outside No. 25 Frewin Road and replace with a single yellow line.
(g) in Ellerton Road remove 4.6 metres of parking bay outside No. 86 and replace with single yellow line.
(h) in Openview, remove 4 metres of parking bay outside No 18 Openview and replace with a single yellow line.
3. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, which come into operation on 21 February 2022 are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays in The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU. The documents will remain available until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements of that Act or of any relevant regulations made under that Act have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
