Downs Wood (D1020) Epsom Downs Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022

On 16 February 2022 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Downs Wood (D1020) Epsom Downs as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between No.76 and No.78 Downs Wood to a point in line with the common boundary between No. 59 and No.57 Downs Wood. Alternative Route - Downs Wood; Garlichill Road; Shawley Way; Tattenham Crescent; and Downs Wood or this same route in reverse. The Order is required to facilitate telecoms pole installation works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 23 February 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
D2084 Clandon Close, Stoneleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022 On 16 February 2022 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D2084 Clandon Close, Stoneleigh that extends from the north-eastern property boundary of No.32 Clandon Close to the south-eastern property boundary of No.30 Clandon Close. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out poling and/ or cabling and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 March 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. There is no vehicular diversion route applicable due to D2084 Clandon Close, being a cul-de-sac however access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
