(Various Roads, Halstead, Braintree) (20mph Zone) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 84, 81, and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Schedule 1 of The Traffic Orders Procedures Regulations 1996, and S90A-F of the Highways Act 1980.
Effect of the order: To Implement: 20mph Zone on the following lengths of road:
Road Description
Waters Way From its junction with Oak Road, for its entire length, up to and including its junctions with Osbourne Close and Richardson Lane
Michael Avenue From its junction with Waters Way, for its entire lengths
Richardson Lane From its junction with Waters Way, for its entire length, up to and including its junctions with Rawlinson Chase
Rawlinson Chase From its junction with Richardson Lane, for its entire length, up to and including its junction with Richardson Lane
Osbourne Close From its junction with Waters Way, for its entire length
The Order will come into operation on: 18 February 2022.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Butler Road, Halstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Butler Road, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Chapel Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th March 2022 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010574188/1 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water An alternative route is available via Trinity Street, Chapel Hill, Beridge Road and vice versa (with access only on Stanley Road and Butler Road.
The Order will come into effect on 24th February 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Cock Road, Little Maplestead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cock Road, Little Maplestead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 520m north east of its junction with Gestingthorpe Road for a distance of approximately 170m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th March 2022 for 26 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01459676093 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Cock Road, Sudbury Road, School Road, Oak Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 24th February 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Coggeshall Road, Earls Colne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coggeshall Road, Earls Colne in the District of Braintree, from the junction with Upper Holt Street for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th March 2022 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2323195 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while grasscrete installation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Coggeshall Road, Upper Holt Street and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 24th February 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Queen Street, Castle Hedingham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Queen Street, Castle Hedingham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Sheepcot Road to its junction with Church Lane for a distance of approximately 135m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th March 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2323149 -EH2323154 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Queen Street, St James Street, Bayley Street, Pye Corner, Nunnery Street, Crouch Green, Yeldham Road, Station Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 24th February 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Various Roads, District of Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway), (South Street, Braintree) (Temporary Suspension of Weight Restriction) & (Railway Street, Braintree) (Temporary Introduction of No Right Hand Turn) Order (No.1) 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the District of Braintree as specified in schedule 1.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road and those in schedule 2 for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
3. To temporarily suspend the 7.5 Tonne weight restriction in that length of South Street, Braintree from its junction with Silks Way, to its junction with Railway Street as detailed in the 'Essex County Council (South Street, Braintree) (7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2010.
4. To temporarily introduce a no right hand turn from Railway Street into Trinovantian Way.
"The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 24th February 2022, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Halstead Road, Colne Engaine in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 150m south east of its junction with Goldingtons Farm Road for a distance of approximately 190m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th February 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03159766255 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Halstead Road, Brook Street, Station Road, Elms Hall Road, Stonebridge Hill, Parley Beams, Colchester Road, Head Street, Colne Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 10th February 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
