TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Sections 14(1) & 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 10m day of February 2022 in respect of the locations numbered (1) & (2). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of the locations numbered (3) (4), (5), (6) & (7).
(11 BUCKINGHAM STREET. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Buckingham Street, York between its junctions with Lambert Court and Skeldergate (closed road) during the period when sewer maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0800hrs on Monday, 14 February 2022 and ending at 1600hrs on Friday, 25 March 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, all on-street parking will be suspended on both sides of Buckingham Street between the junctions with Lambert Court and Bishophill Senior (restricted road).
(21 HIGH OAKS. YORK
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on High Oaks, York (closed road) during the period when footway resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0730hrs on Monday, 14 February 2022 and ending at 1600hrs on Sunday, 27 February 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally pedestrians and vehicles are prohibited from the footway on the northern side of High Oaks (closed footway) for the duration of the works period.
(31 LITTLE SHAMBLES. YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Little Shambles, York between its junction with The Shambles and a location 10 metres south-west of said junction (closed road) during the period when building maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0001 hrs on Sunday, 20 February 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on Friday, 11 March 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely.
(41 HORNER STREET. YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Horner Street, York between its junctions with Burton Stone Lane and Wilberforce Avenue (closed road) during the period when gas mains works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0001 hrs on Monday, 21 February 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on Friday, 18 March 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(51 ELM TREE AVENUE. NETHER POPPLETON
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Elm Tree Avenue, Nether Poppleton between the junction with Apple Garth and the extended north-western boundary of property No 9 (closed road) during the period when crane works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0600hrs on Monday, 21 February 2022 and ending at 1800hrs on Tuesday, 22 February 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the road will only be closed for 3 hours during the works period. Additionally, all on-street parking will be suspended on the both sides of Apple Garth between the junctions with Dikelands Lane and Cherry Grove (restricted road). An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(61 COMMON LANE. DUNNINGTON
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Common Lane, Dunnington between its junction with Hull Road (A1079) and the projected northern boundary of Fir Tree Farm (closed road) during the period when electricity grid works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0830hrs on Wednesday, 23 February 2022 and ending at 1630hrs on Tuesday, 01 March 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(71 PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO 1/2/20. COPMANTHORPE This Order will prohibit vehicles & pedestrians from proceeding and waiting in that length of footpath on Public Footpath No 1 /2/20, Copmanthorpe between its junction with Fletcher's Croft and a location approximately 15 metres east of the East Coast Mainline Railway (closed footpath) during the period when railway maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0030hrs on Saturday, 19 February 2022 and ending at 0500hrs on Sunday, 27 February 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the route will be closed for the whole time between 0030hrs on Saturday, 19 February 2022 until 0500hrs on Monday, 21 February 2022 and between 2230hrs on Saturday, 26 February 2022 until 0500hrs on Sunday, 27 February 2022 only.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
