THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN
(Galligreaves Way, Blackburn) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022
NOTICE Is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, made the above Order under Section 14 (l)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to dose Galligreaves Way from its junction with Wellington Road to its junction with Galligreaves Street for a distance of555 metres.
The closure is neccessary for the following reason: Excavation taking place for HV cable overlay.
The Order will come into force on 14th February 2022 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20th February 2022. The alternative route for the affected traffic will be Wellington Road, Standiffe Street, Hollin Bridge Street, Hamilton Street, Aqueduct Road, Bolton Road, Wainwright Way, King Street, Whalley Banks and Duckworth Street vice versa.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
