TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Sections 14(1) & 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 27th day of January 2022 in respect of the locations numbered (1), (2), (3), (4) & (5) and on the 3rd day of February in respect of the locations numbered (6) & (7). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of the locations numbered (8) & (9).
(11 GOODRAMGATE (CONTINUATION). YORK This Order continues in force The York (Goodramgate) (Temporary Traffic Restriction) Order 2022 (original Order) the effect of which is to continue in force the prohibition on vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Goodramgate, York between the projected north-eastern boundaries of Property No's 57 and 75 (closed road) during the period when sewer maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 1901 hrs on Friday, 28 January 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on Wednesday, 2 February 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, the 'ONE WAY' direction of traffic flow in Goodramgate between its junctions with Deangate and King's Square is suspended in the sections of said road not subject to the above closure to allow two-way traffic flow during the works period. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(21 MURTON FOOTPATH NO. 30/1/10 (CONTINUATION). MURTON
This Order continues in force The Murton (Murton Footpath No 30/1/10) Temporary Traffic Restrictions prohibiting pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of public footpath, known as Murton No. 30/1/10 (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0001 hours on Tuesday, 1 February 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on Tuesday, 31 January 2023 (works period) or at the end of the works period whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that ongoing bridge repair works can be carried out safely.
(31 MURTON FOOTPATH NO. 30/9/10 (CONTINUATION). MURTON
This Order continues in force The Murton (Murton Footpath No 30/9/10) Temporary Traffic Restrictions prohibiting pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of public footpath, known as Murton No. 30/9/10 between the junctions with Murton No. 30/10/10 and Moor Lane, Murton (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0001 hours on Tuesday, 1 February 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on Tuesday, 31 January 2023 (works period) or at the end of the works period whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that ongoing bridge repair works can be carried out safely.
(41 SKELTON FOOTPATH NO. 11/6/10 (CONTINUATION). SKELTON
This Order continues in force The Skelton (Skelton Footpath No. 11/6/10) Temporary Traffic Restrictions prohibiting pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of public footpath, known as Skelton No. 11/6/10 (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0001 hours on Tuesday, 1 February 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on Tuesday, 31 January 2023 (works period) or at the end of the works period whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that ongoing bridge repair works can be carried out safely.
(51 STRENSALL FOOTPATH NO. 3/13/10 (CONTINUATION). STRENSALL
This Order continues in force The Strensall (Strensall Footpath No 3/13/10) Temporary Traffic Restrictions prohibiting pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of public footpath, known as Strensall Footpath No 3/13/10 between the junctions with Strensall No. 3/17/10 and Strensall No. 3/10/10 (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0001 hours on Tuesday, 1 February 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on Tuesday, 31 January 2023 (danger period) or at a time when the danger has been removed whichever is the earlier. This is necessary because of the likelihood of danger arising from a landslip within that length.
(6) PICCADILLY. YORK
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Piccadilly, York between its junction with Merchantgate and a location approximately 40 metres north-west of said junction (closed road) during the period when sewer maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 2359hrs on Thursday, 10 February 2022 and ending at 0230hrs on Friday, 11 February 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.
(71 ST PAUL'S SQUARE (CONTINUATION!. YORK
This Order continues in force The York (St Paul's) (Temporary Traffic Restriction) Order 2022 (original Order) the effect of which is to continue in force the prohibition on vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on St. Paul's Square, York between its junction with Holgate Road and a location approximately 10 metres north east of said junction (closed road) during the period when gas mains works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0001 hrs on Saturday, 5 February 2022 and ending at 2359hrs on Friday, 18 February 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. Additionally, all on-street parking will be suspended on both sides of Holgate Road between the junctions with St. Paul's Square and Holgate Bridge Gardens (restricted road). It is envisaged that the road will only be closed between Monday, 14 February 2022 and Friday, 18 February 2022.
(81 BUCKINGHAM STREET. YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Buckingham Street, York between its junctions with Lambert Court and Skeldergate (closed road) during the period when sewer maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0800hrs on Monday, 14 February 2022 and ending at 1600hrs on Friday, 25 March 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, all on-street parking will be suspended on both sides of Buckingham Street between the junctions with Lambert Court and Bishophill Senior (restricted road).
(91 HIGH OAKS. YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles & pedestrians from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on High Oaks, York (closed road) during the period when footway resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0730hrs on Monday, 14 February 2022 and ending at 1600hrs on Sunday, 27 February 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally pedestrians and vehicles are prohibited from the footway on the northern side of High Oaks (closed footway) for the duration of the works period. The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/ barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
