ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14
THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (SEDBURY) [TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIANS) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the County of North Yorkshire, to enable footpath reconstruction, kerb renewal, gully renewal, road marking, vegetation clearance and tree cutting works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start at midnight on Monday 28 February 2022 for 1 month, or until completed.
The effect of the Order will be to close, for 24 hours a day, at times during the works, the layby adjacent to the A66 westbound carriageway at Sedbury Lodge. It will also be necessary to close the footways adjacent to the layby at A66 Sedbury Lodge; during which times a suitable signed alternative route will be available. Traffic management will be in force 24 hours a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes).
