Temporary Traffic Management Order of Preston Road Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 28 January 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 17 February 2022. This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works and footway surfacing and widening works.
The effect of this Order is as follows:
[1] To impose closure on shared footway between the access to Lodmoor Country Park to Overcombe Corner on 28 January 2022 until 17 February between 0900 and 1600. The footway will be open overnight and at weekends. [2] To impose road closure on Preston Road from Overcombe Corner to its junction with Melstock Avenue on 4 February 2022 until 12 February 2022 between 2000 and 0600. The road will be open during the day and at weekends.
[3] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Preston Road from Overcombe Corner to its junction with Melstock Avenue on 4 February 2022 until 12 February 2022 between 2000 and 0600. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986 A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. Temporary Closure of Church Street, Puncknowle
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along CHURCH STREET, PUNCKNOWLE between Rectory Lane and Knacker's Hole, a distance of approximately 60 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 14 February 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months. however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 4 March 2022. This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to install a new water main. An alternative vehicular route will be signed using: Hazel Lane - Litton Lane - Rectory Lane. Notice of Confirmation of a Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980 Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
Dorset Council (Parts of Footpaths 23 & 24, Owermoigne at Lower Watercombe House) Public Path Diversion Order 2021

On 17 December 2021 Dorset Council confirmed the above-named order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 as unopposed and the Council has certified that work has been carried out to bring the site of the new highway mentioned in article 3 of the order into a fit condition for use by the public.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert parts of Footpaths 23 & 24, Owermoigne as shown on the order
map as follows:
From the existing paths:
Part of Footpath 23, Owermoigne: (Par of the Hardy Way)
The full width of the footpath from the unaffected part of Footpath 23 at SY 76368703 generally south south west along a tarmac driveway to its junction with the current route of Footpath 24, Owermoigne, north of Lower Watercombe House SY 76188651. (No recorded width).
Part of Footpath 24, Owermoigne: (Pan of the Hardy Way)
The full width of the footpath from the unaffected part of Footpath 24 at SY 76138622 generally north north east across fields, then north west, passing between Lower Watercombe House and Lower Watercombe Barn to its junction with the current route of Footpath 23 at SY 76188651. Continuing west along a field to the unaffected part of Footpath 24, west north west of Lower Watercombe House at SY 76088651. (No recorded width).
To the new paths:
Part of Footpath 23, Owermoigne: (Par of the Hardy Way)
From the unaffected part of Footpath 23 at SY 76368703, west into a field and continuing west north west along the field edge to SY 76338703, then generally south south west along the field boundary, running parallel with the Warmwell parish boundary to its junction with Footpath 24, west north west of Lower Watercombe House at SY 76088651. Width: The width of this part of Footpath 23 is 2 metres. Limitations: Pedestrian gates at SY 76368703 and SY 76088651 to BS5709:2018.
Part of Footpath 24, Owermoigne: (Par of the Hardy Way)
From the unaffected part of Footpath 24 at SY 76138622, north west across a field to SY 75998632, then generally north north east along the field boundary, running parallel with the Warmwell parish boundary to its junction with Footpath 23, west north west of Lower Watercombe House at SY 76088651. Width: The width of this part of Footpath 24 is 2 metres.

The order comes into force on 24 December 2021 but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 27 January 2022, make an application to the High Court.
