ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER -SOUTH STREET, PORTS LADE
1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 19th January 2022 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect-fa) The temporary closure of South Street, Portslade from its junction with High Street for approximately 20 metres in a northerly direction.
(a) For the duration of this closure, it is necessary to suspend the One-way Order on South Street between its junction with Drove Road and its just with High Street, to maintain access.
2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry out the installation of new utility connections
3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.
4. This Order comes into force on 19 January 2022 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 2 February 2022.
