Brighton & Hove Various Controlled Parking Zones Consolidation Order 2018 Amendment Order No.1 2022 (TRO-22c-2020)
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ('the Council') has on 5 January 2022 made the Order named above under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into operation on 17 January 2022 will make permanent the following changes in Zone M:
- Reduced no waiting restrictions (double and single yellow lines) and replaced with permit holders only parking (Monday to Sunday 9am to 8pm) in Brunswick Square, Brunswick Terrace, Farm Road, Holland Road, Lansdowne Place, Lower Market Street, Rochester Street and Waterloo Street.
- Reduced no waiting restriction (double yellow lines) and replaced with Shared Paid Parking and Permit Holders parking (Monday to Sunday 9am to 8pm, Medium Tariff, Medium Term -4 hours (No return in 4 hours)) in Lansdowne Road
- Changed the existing paid parking bays in Western Road to shared permit and paid parking bays Monday to Sunday 9am to 8pm -Medium Tariff Short Term - 2 hours (No return within 4 hours)
- Changed the no waiting at any time (double yellow lines) to no waiting Monday to Sunday 9am to 8pm (single yellow lines) on Holland Road outside the Baptist Church.
The changes described above were originally the subject of an experimental traffic order that was advertised on 11th September 2020: Brighton & Hove (Zone M) (Various Restrictions) Experimental Order 2020 (Ref: TRO-22-2020) and its subsequent amendment Order; Brighton & Hove (Zone M) (Various Restrictions) Experimental Order 2020 Amendment Order No.1 2020 (Ref: TRO-22a-2020) that was advertised on 17th March 2021. The following modifications have been made following comments to the experimental order; the loading bay in Lower Market Street will remain at any time as it was prior to the experimental order and the changes to the south side of Brunswick Square (northern arm) have been withdrawn and will be changed back to original restrictions prior to the experimental order.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
