(Cross Road, Peebles) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2022
The Scottish Borders Council (Cross Road, Peebles) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2022 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 17 January 2022 and is expected to remain in effect until 26 January 2022 between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 on weekdays only. The Order is required for carriageway resurfacing works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall:
(a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle; and

(b) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked,

along Cross Road, Peebles from Montgomery Place to Damdale. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Montgomery Place, March Street, Murray Place and Damdale to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
The Scottish Borders Council (Various Streets, Peebles) (Regulation of Traffic) Order 2000, as amended, will be further amended as follows: the One Way Order on Old Church Road will be revoked for the duration of the closure detailed above.
