THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (TEESSIDE PARK INTERCHANGE TO YARM ROAD INTERCHANGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National
Highways Limited has made an Order on the
A66 Trunk Road, in Stockton-On-Tees, to enable
drainage works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Sunday
16 January 2022 for 3 months, or until completed.
The effect of the Order will be, to close,
between 8pm and 6am, the A66:
(i) westbound carriageway from the exit slip road at Acklam Road Interchange to the entry slip road at Boathouse Lane Interchange, a distance of 1584 metres;
(ii) westbound carriageway from the exit slip road at Boathouse Lane Interchange to the over bridge at Yarm Road Interchange a distance of 1408 metres;
(iii) westbound entry slip roads at Thornaby Road Interchange, Boathouse lane Interchange; and
(iv) westbound exit slip roads at Boathouse Lane Interchange, Acklam Road Interchange, Yarm Road Interchange.
During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. It will also be necessary, for 24 hours a day, to close the laybys adjacent to the A66:
(i) westbound carriageway 373 metres west of Acklam Road Interchange;
(ii) eastbound carriageway 342 metres east of Yarm Road Interchange; and
(iii) westbound carriageway 530 metres east of Yarm Road Interchange.
Traffic signs will be in force 24 hours a day and will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 15 January 2022 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
