SCHOOL ENROLMENT WEEK 17th - 21st January 2022
Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) Enrolment
All three and four year olds in Scotland are entitled to up to 1140 hours of funded ELC each year; these hours are allocated on a pro-rata basis depending on when children start throughout the year. Hours will be provided at school nurseries, as well as some private and voluntary managed nurseries and playgroups and some childminders that have a contract to provide ELC
Children born between 1 March 2018 and 29 February 2020 will be eligible for up to 1140 hours of free ELC from August 2022.
Parents are advised to make contact with the ELC setting of their choice to discuss options for their child prior to enrolment week. Find out more at:-

Children who turn 5 years of age between 18 August 2022 and 28 February 2023 are eligible to defer their entry to primary 1 and should make an application for another year of ELC at:-
