CROYDON COUNCIL
INTRODUCTION OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING BAYS AND CHARGING POINTS - VARIOUS LOCATIONS WITHIN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON

The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 2022 The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No.1) Order 2022
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 04 January 2022 made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers and also proposes to install electric vehicle charging points under section 16 of the London Local Authorities and Transport for London Act 2013.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be:-

(a) To provide parking places which may be used free of charge by electrically propelled vehicles that are being charged with electrical power, operational at any time on Mondays to Sundays inclusive, in the locations detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.

(b) To install electric vehicle charging points adjacent to the proposed parking places, as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

(c) To amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders so as to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

NOTE: although parking in the electric vehicle bays is free of charge there is normally a cost involved in the use of the adjacent electric vehicle charging points.

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 10 January 2022 and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at the Enquiry Counter, "Access Croydon" Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.

4. Copies of the Orders may also be obtained from Parking Design, 6thFloor Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1EA (email: parking.design@croydon.gov.uk).

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS BIGGINWOOD ROAD. NORBURY TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate blockage clearance works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Bigginwood Road, Norbury.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Bigginwood Road will be closed between its junction with Croft Road and the south-eastern boundary of No. 39 Bigginwood Road.

3. The Order will come into operation on the 07 January 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

4. Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via St Oswald's Road, Green Lane and Croft Road.

5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED BY THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1985 AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 CONISTON ROAD. CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the installation of a new gas service they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Coniston Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

(a) Coniston Road will be closed outside No. 49;

(b) Parking will be suspended and waiting restrictions will apply "at any time" on both sides of the road outside Nos. 43 to 57 Coniston Road.

3. Whilst the closure is in operation the alternative route for traffic will be via Cambourne Road and Dalmally Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 10 January 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 17 January 2022. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced if further works are required.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(b) any vehicle carrying out the said works;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS HESTERMAN WAY. CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to relocate a roundabout and build a new service entrance, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Hesterman Way, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, both the carriageway and footway of Hesterman Way, Croydon, will be closed between the entrance to the Valley Park Shopping Centre and the roundabout adjacent to Macdonald's, Valley Park.

3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted vehicular traffic will Daniell Way and Hesterman Way, as appropriately signed. Pedestrians will be diverted into a walkway in the carriageway.

4. The Order will come into operation on 06 January 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 25 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) A vehicle involved in the said works;

(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS PRIORY CRESCENT. UPPER NORWOOD TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate carriageway reinstatement works on behalf of Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Priory Crescent, Upper Norwood.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Priory Crescent will be closed at its north-westernmost junction with Beulah Hill (adjacent to No. 71 Beulah Hill).

3. Whilst the closure is in force, the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via Beulah Hill and Priory Crescent (via its south-easternmost junction with Beulah Hill).

4. The Order will come into operation on 11 January 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

6. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) a vehicle involved in the said works;

(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer.
