M25 MOTORWAY - JUNCTIONS 23-27 TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the M25 Motorway in the Counties of Kent, Surrey, Hertfordshire, and Essex, and the London Borough of Enfield under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight
1) phased closure of the following slip and link roads:-

a) all the slip roads leading to and from both carriageways of the M25 at Junction 24 (A111/A1005) with the exception of the anti-clockwise off-slip;

b) the slip road leading to the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 26 (A121); and

c) the link road leading from the clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 27 (M11 Junction 6);

2) phased closure of any emergency refuge area and the hard shoulder adjacent to both carriageways of the M25 between Junction 23(A1(M)/A1) and Junction 27 (M11 Junction 6); and

3) imposition of a 50mph speed restriction on:-

a) the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between a point approximately 325 metres south-east of the centreline of Blanche Lane overbridge and a point approximately 415 metres south-east of the centreline of the Underground railway underbridge; and

b) the anti-clockwise carriageway of M25 between a point approximately 975 metres west of the centreline of the M11 underbridge and a point approximately 1080 metres west of the centreline of Baker Street underbridge.

These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake signage works in, and associated with, emergency refuge areas, and all associated works. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 6 months starting on or after Tuesday 1st February 2022. The overnight closures would take place between the following hours (maximum periods)-
Mondays - Thursdays 21:00 - 05:30
Fridays 22:00 - 06:00
Saturdays 21:00 - 06:00
Sundays 21:00 - 05:30
The Order (which combines similar work between Junctions 5 and 6 not covered by this newspaper) would come into force on 30th January 2022 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete. Please visit National Highways website for closure details. Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted using other junctions on the M25, and by using the M11, A10, and A121. The temporary closures, speed restrictions and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
