Temporary Closure of Yenhay Lane, Chideock
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Yenhay Lane, Chideock from the junction with North Road to a point approximately 200 metres to the east. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 10 January 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31 January 2022. This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out maintenance work to Chideock Manor Bridge.
There will be no alternative route on this occasion.
