Notice of Proposals NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the following Order:-
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the following Order:-
1. (i) This Order may be cited as the Wigan
Borough (Footpath Leigh No.181 (part)) (Temporary Footpath Diversion) Order 2021 and shall come into operation on 10th January 2022. (ii) The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
2. No person shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, use public footpath Leigh No 181 (part) from Point A as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 365001 399177 at the junction with public bridleway Leigh No. 322 to Point B as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 365031 399119 for a distance of approximately 65 metres in a generally south easterly direction to the junction with Wateredge Close.
An alternative route is available: From Point A go north easterly along public bridleway Leigh No. 322 to the junction with St Helens Road at Point C on the Order Map at grid reference 365393 399342 for approximately 425 metres, then go south on the pavement of St Helens Road to Point D as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 365390 399289 for approximately 50 metres, then head south westerly following the pavement of Lightburne Avenue and footway to Parkedge Close. Continue in a south westerly direction on the pavement of Parkedge Close to Point B for a distance of approximately 430 metres. This Order will be effective for a period of 4 weeks commencing on 10th January 2022, to safeguard the public whilst improvement works are carried out to the public rights of way network.
Wigan Borough (Bridleway Leigh No.155 (Part) Temporary Bridleway Diversion Order) 2021 Notice of Proposals NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Bridleway Leigh No.155) (Part) (Temporary Bridleway Diversion) Order 2021. The effect of the Order will be that no person shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, use public bridleway Leigh No 155 (part) from Point A as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 364661 399192 at the junction with public footpath Leigh No. 162 to Point B as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 364612 398891 for a distance of approximately 306 metres in a generally southerly direction to the junction with the access road to Pennington Country Park. An alternative route is available: From Point A go easterly along public footpath Leigh No. 162 to Point C on the Order Map at grid reference 364830 399147 for approximately 180 metres, then go southeast to Point D as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 364877 399085 for approximately 80 metres, then head south westerly following public bridleway Leigh No. 322 before heading west under the Atherleigh Way to the access road to Pennington Country Park a distance of approximately 370 metres, once on the road head north west to Point B for a distance of approximately 36 metres.

An alternative route is available: From Point A go easterly along public footpath Leigh No. 162 to Point C on the Order Map at grid reference 364830 399147 for approximately 180 metres, then go southeast to Point D as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 364877 399085 for approximately 80 metres, then head south westerly following public bridleway Leigh No. 322 before heading west under the Atherleigh Way to the access road to Pennington Country Park a distance of approximately 370 metres, once on the road head north west to Point B for a distance of approximately 36 metres.
This Order will be effective for a period of 4 months
commencing on 10th January 2022, to safeguard
the public whilst improvement works are carried
out to the public rights of way network.
