(Waverley Terrace, Shildon) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 143 metres of North Terrace / Waverley Terrace that extends south easterly from its junction with Eldon Bank Top, Shildon to enable new gas supply connection works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the western side of the closure from Eldon Bank Top south onto Cheapside then east on Foundry Street to the eastern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 10/1/22 and are anticipated to be completed in 5 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
