Temporary Traffic Management Order, North Square, Dorchester
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The effect of this order is to temporarily suspend parking along North Square, Dorchester from outside 17 North Square to just north of the car park entrance behind the Corn Exchange (on the eastern side of the road), a distance of approximately 40 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation at 08:00 on 4th January 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 17:00 on 17 January 2022. This Order will enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to excavate a trench within the parking bays to provide a new connection.

Dorset Council in exercise of powers under Section 35C and 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and in compliance with Regulation 25 (Part V) Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 hereby make the following changes;
