Harwich Haven Authority Open meetings

Harwich Haven Authority Open meetings regarding an application for a new off-shore disposal site for maintenance dredgings.

Harwich Haven Authority has applied to the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) for permission to use a new maintenance dredging disposal site located 20km off-shore. The Authority has submitted the required reports and studies to the MMO which is consulting other regulators and stakeholders before making its decision. Harwich Haven Authority is holding two meetings to present the results of the studies and give details of how responses can be made to the MMO. The meetings are primarily intended for the local commercial and recreational fishing communities but other members of the public will be welcome. The MMO is seeking responses by 5th March 2014. The meetings will be held on Wednesday 5th February at the 1912 Centre in Harwich (CO12 3ES) at 1830 and on Thursday 6th February at Felixstowe Town Hall (IP11 2AG) at 1830.
