POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2012
In accordance with Paragraph 4 of Schedule 7 to the Pollution Prevention and Control (Scotland) Regulations, notice is hereby given that Glenrath Farms Ltd has applied to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) to vary (change) their permit under Regulation 46 of the regulations. This is in respect of activities being carried out namely intensive rearing of poultry in an installation at Glenrath Farm, Hallmanor, Kirkton Manor, Peebles, EH45 9JW.
The change in the operation proposed by the application is to increase the total number of poultry places to 178 000 with the addition of one new poultry house.
The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment and on human health.
