SCHOOL STREETS - PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLE ZONE
THE MERTON (PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLE ZONE) (MALMESBURY ROAD AND NEATH GARDENS) TRAFFIC ORDER 2021
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Merton, on 15 November 2021, made the above mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of the Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers, so as to continue in force indefinitely the provisions of the Merton (Prescribed Route) (Malmesbury Road and Neath Gardens) Experimental Traffic Order 2020 as modified by a notice dated 20 January 2021 under s.10(2) of that Act.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to prohibit all motorised vehicles from entering the roads listed in the Schedule to this notice, during the corresponding periods specified, with an exemption for those authorised vehicles which are specified on a white list for each road, held and maintained by the Council.
3. A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 29 November 2021, the Experimental Order of 2020 and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including the notice of modification and a plan specifying the roads affected by the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX. 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof, or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

THE MERTON (PRESCRIBED ROUTE) (BOTSFORD ROAD) TRAFFIC ORDER 2021
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Merton, on 15 November 2021, made the above mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers, so as to continue in force indefinitely the provisions of the Merton (Prescribed Route) (Botsford Road) Experimental Traffic Order 2020.
2. The general effect of the Order will be to continue in force indefinitely the prohibition preventing vehicles from turning right from Botsford Road into Whatley Avenue.
3. A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 29 November 2021, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a copy of the Merton (Prescribed Route) (Botsford Road) Experimental Traffic Order 2020 and a plan specifying the roads affected by the Order can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(RAYNES PARK BRIDGE AND VARIOUS ROADS. RAYNES PARK) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2021
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate bridge inspection works at the railway bridge in Raynes Park Bridge, Raynes Park, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Raynes Park Bridge, between its junction with Coombe Lane and its junction with Approach Road; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading any vehicle, in:-
(i) the length of Raynes Park Bridge specified in sub-paragraph (a) above;
(ii) Approach Road, from a point 40 metres west of the western kerb-line of Raynes Park Bridge eastward to a point 130 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Raynes Park Bridge;
(iii) Coombe Lane, from its junction with Pepys Road to a point 30 metres west of the western kerb-line of Raynes Park Bridge;
(iv) Pepys Road, from its junction with Coombe Lane to a point 70 metres north-east of the eastern kerb-line of Raynes Park Bridge; or
(c) enter or proceed on foot in the length of Raynes Park Bridge specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed:-
(a) northbound by way of Approach Road, Kingston Road(A238), Bushey Road(A298), Beverley Way(A3) southbound, Shannon Corner, Beverley Way/Kingston Bypass(A3) northbound, Robin Hood Way, Coombe Lane West(A238), Coombe Lane Flyover and Coombe Lane; or
(b) southbound by way of Coombe Lane(A238), Beverley Way/Kingston Bypass(A3), Bushey Road(A298), Kingston Road(A238) and Approach Road.
5. Pedestrian traffic affected by the road and footway closures should proceed using Approach Road, Station Approach, the underpass at Raynes Park Station and Coombe Lane.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any person or vehicle engaged in the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into operation on Wednesday 15th December 2021 and remain in force for 3 months. It is anticipated that the works would be carried out overnight.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
COMPTON ROAD. SW19 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice, that to facilitate development works at No. 16 Compton Road, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Compton Road, SW19, the south-east side, from a point 1.5 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 16 and 18 Compton Road south-westward for a distance of 12.2 metres.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or for the loading or unloading of construction delivery vehicles; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. The Order will come into operation on Friday 19th November 2021 and remain in force for 6 months.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY NO. 177 (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate excavation works in Public Right of Way No. 177, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceeding in Public Right of Way No. 177, which runs adjacent to No. 33 Langdale Avenue and No. 38 Upper Green East, between Langdale Avenue and Upper Green East.
2. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
3. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any person engaged in the execution of the said works;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform.
4. Pedestrians affected by the footpath closure should proceed by way of Langdale Avenue, London Road and Upper Green East or vice-versa.
5. The Order will apply from Thursday 25th November 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Thursday 2nd December 2021. However, the Order will remain in operation for a maximum period of 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(VARIOUS ROADS) (NO. 5) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate a programme of carriageway resurfacing and general maintenance works to be undertaken in the roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which, during the works, would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, proceeding or waiting, including in any parking places, in those roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice.
2. Any designated parking place situated in any of the roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice would be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of roads.
3. During the works in:-
(a) Coombe Lane, SW20; the right-turn ban on the Raynes Park-bound, southbound A3 slip road opposite the closure would be suspended to avoid a lengthy diversion for Kingston-bound traffic;
Between 8am and 9.15am and between 2.45pm and 4pm . Mondays to Fridays
(b) Manor Place, Mitcham; the one-way system in Manor Way, the no-entry from Tamworth Lane and the no-entry from Rowan Road would be suspended to facilitate access for Manor Way residents.
4. The restrictions and suspensions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Alternative routes for diverted traffic would be indicated by advance warning and diversion signs on the roads affected when the works are in progress but would likely be those diversion routes specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this notice.
6. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of roads insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
8. The Order would come into force on Tuesday 30th November 2021 and the anticipated works dates are specified in column 3 of the Schedule to this notice. However, the Order would remain in operation for a maximum period of 12 months and its provisions would be re-introduced should further works be required.

CRANMER ROAD. MITCHAM (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate mini-roundabout construction and associated works at the junction of Cranmer Road with Madeira Road they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Cranmer Road.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:
(a) proceed in Cranmer Road, between its junction with Madeira Road and its junction with Carshalton Road;
(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in Cranmer Road, from its junction with Madeira Road south-eastward for a distance of 30 metres.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed by way of Carshalton Road, Commonside West and Madeira Road.
5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. The Order would come into operation on Friday 26th November 2021 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed within 2 weeks. However, the Order would remain in force for 6 months should further works be required.
