M4 MOTORWAY (JUNCTIONS 10 TO 11) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the M4 Motorway in the Unitary Authorities of Wokingham and Reading, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closure of both carriageways of the M4 between Junction 10 (A329(M)) and Junction 11 (A33), and all the slip and link roads leading to and from these carriageways. These measures would be in the interests of road safety while SSE undertake electrical works on the overhead powerlines. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 2 nights starting on or after Wednesday 15th December 2021. The overnight closures would take place between 22:00 and 06:00 (maximum period). The Order would come into force on 13th December 2021 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete. Traffic affected by the closure would be diverted using the A329(M), A3290 and B3270. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
