ENVIRONMENT AGENCY Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the
Water Act 2003) Notice of application for a full licence to abstract (take) water Thompsons of Prudhoe Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence. The Environment Agency Is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006. The application is for a full licence to abstract water from Skerne Magnesian Limestone at Bishop Middleham Quarry, at an area outlined by National Grid References NZ 33361 32219, NZ 33341 32185, NZ 33391 32128 and NZ33407 32141.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
* 37 cubic metres an hour ? 156 cubic metres a day

* 48,038 cubic metres a year

The water will be used for dust suppression and wheel washing.
