SOUTHEND-ON-SEA BOROUGH COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) (CLARENCE ROAD) (TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2021 Notice is hereby given that the Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Notice is hereby given that the Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

1. The Council intends to introduce traffic management measures to facilitate essential works in Clarence Road.



The Order shall come into force at 20.30hrs on 11 November 2021 and will continue in operation until 23.30hrs on the same day.

2. The effect of the Order will be



a) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Clarence Road between Alexandra Road and Clarence Street.



b) Remove the one way from Clarence Road between Clarence Street and Clifftown Road with access to residents only under the management of licenced Traffic Marshals



3. Diversions will be via Scratton Road, Nelson Street and Capel Terrace and where applicable will be signed on street.



4. All signage in respect of these road closures will be erected prior to, maintained throughout, and removed immediately after the completion. The prohibitions or restrictions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
