ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14
THE M606 MOTORWAY AND THE M62 MOTORWAY (CHAIN BAR) [TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the M62 Motorway and the M606 Motorway, in the District of Kirklees, to enable bridge expansion joint replacement, carriageway resurfacing, white lining, road studs and associated works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Monday 8 November 2021 for 6 nights, or until completed and will take place between 8pm and 6am.
The effect of the Order will be to close the link road connecting the M606 southbound carriageway with the M62 westbound carriageway at Junction 26 (Chain Bar). During the closure a suitably signed alternative route will be available at all times. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes.) The Order comes into force on 7 November 2021 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
