A23 TRUNK ROAD (PYECOMBE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A23 Trunk Road in the County of West Sussex, under Section 16A(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(a) because an event is proposed to be held on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the daytime closure of the lay-by adjacent to the southbound carriageway of the A23 between points 78 and 315 metres south of the centreline of Chestnuts Riding School access road.
These measures would be in the interests of road safety during the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.
It is expected that the event would last for approximately 1 day starting on or after Sunday 7th November 2021. The daytime closure would take place between 06:00 and 21:00 (maximum period).
The Order would come into force on 5th November 2021 and have a maximum duration of three days.
The temporary closure would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when it is in operation during the event period.
