Licensing Act 2003 - Variation of a Premises Licence

An application has been made to the Licensing Authority for Swindon for the variation of the Premises Licence issued in respect of Casbah, 25/27A John Street, Swindon SN1 1RT.

The application seeks to vary conditions attached to the Licence as follows:
Sale by retail of alcohol from 11.00 hours until 03.00 hours Monday to Thursday and 11.00 until 03.30 hours on a Saturday.
Provision of Live music and Karaoke from 11.00 hours until 03.00 hours Monday to Thursday and 11.00 until 03.30 hours on a Saturday.
Other licensable activities until 04.00 hours on a Sunday
Hours on a Friday remain unchanged.

The application can be viewed at the offices of the Licensing Authority at Wat Tyler House, Beckhampton Street, Swindon SN1 2JH, (licensing@swindon.gov.uk) between 09.00 hrs and 16.30 hrs on weekdays.

Responsible Authorities, (e.g Police and Fire Brigade), and/or Other persons (e.g. people/businesses living or working within the vicinity), can make representations at any time between 17 February 2014 and 16 March 2014. All representations must be made in writing (including e-mail or fax).

It is an offence for anyone knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with a licensing application.  The maximum fine on conviction is £5,000.
