Temporary Closure of Newstead Road, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along NEWSTEAD ROAD, WEYMOUTH between its junction with Abbotsbury Road and its junction with Knightsdale Road, a distance of approximately 220 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 4 November 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2 December 2021.
This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to replace burst water main and move valve. Please note that the whole extent shown on the map will not be closed all the time, the works will be carried out in phases.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Newstead Road - Westway Road - Abbotsbury Road.

Temporary Closure of Friary Lane, Dorchester

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Friary Lane, Dorchester from the junction with B3150 High East Street to a point approximately 30 metres to the north (in both directions). To facilitate the closure the one way order on Friary Lane from the junction with Orchard Street to the closure point will be temporarily suspended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 25 October 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 17 December 2021.
This Order has been requested to allow JW Scaffolding Ltd access to erect scaffolding for contractors to carry out building repairs to the Kings Arms.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using North Square and B3150 High East Street.

Temporary Closure of St Helen's Lane, Chilfrome

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along St Helens's Lane, Chilfrome at the railway bridge (in both directions), a distance of approximately 30 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 25 October 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 5 November 2021.
This Order will enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, safe access to carry out refurbishment to the Bridge.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using St Helens Lane, Chilfrome Lane, A356, Church Road, Station Road, Cattistock Road and vice versa.

Temporary Closure of Underdown Hollow, Bradford Abbas

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Underdown Hollow, Bradford Abbas between its junctions with Grants Hill and Babylon Hill, a distance of approximately 2450 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 18 October 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28 October 2021.
This Order will enable Barden Network Engineering agents of Openreach, safe access and installation of new fibre cabling in the highway.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using: Babylon Hill A30 - Horsecastles Lane - Bradford Road.

Temporary Closure of New Lane, Cann

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along New Lane, Cann at the junction with Salisbury Road A30. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 21 October 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 8 November 2021.
This Order will enable Chevron TM to carry out external works to a property, the property has only been made safe at present. With HGV and vehicles passing on the A30 the vibrations could cause further damage.
An alternative route will be signed using: New Lane - Higher Blandford Road - Salisbury Road.

Notice of Making a Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order
Highways Act 1980 Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
Dorset Council (Parts of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis at Dodding's Farm)
Public Path Diversion Order 2021
The above order, made on 24 September 2021 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert parts of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis as shown on the order map as follows: From the existing way:
i. The whole width of the way from the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis, west of Dodding's Farm at SY 85179375, south west to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis at SY 85159374.

ii. The whole width of the way from the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis, south west of Dodding's Farm at SY 85069360, south south west to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis at SY 85059358.

To the new way:
i. From the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis, west of Dodding's Farm at SY 85179375, generally west along a natural/ grass surfaced track to SY 85159375, then generally south to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis at SY 85159374. The width of this part of Bridleway 22 varies: 7 metres between SY 85179375 and SY 85159375, narrowing to 3.2 metres between point SY 85159375 and SY 85159374.

ii. From the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis, south west of Dodding's Farm at SY 85069360, generally south west along a natural/grass surfaced track to SY 85059359 and continuing generally south to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 22, Bere Regis at SY 85059358. The width of this part of Bridleway 22 varies: 5 metres between SY 85069360 and SY 85059359, narrowing to 3 metres between SY 85059359 and SY 85059358.

If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
