Temporary Closure of Public Footpath W6/27, Bridport
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath W6/27, Bridport, from the junction with Stuart Way to the junction with King Charles Way, a distance of approximately 110 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 4 October 2021 for a period of 26 weeks, but it may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. However it is anticipated the closure will be lifted on S November 2021. This closure is required for safety reasons as Western Power Distribution will be excavating to access and replace apparatus within the substation. Temporary Traffic Management Order A356 Dorchester Road, Maiden Newton
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 09:00 until 16:00 on 14 October 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 21 October 2021.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The effect of this Order is as follows:
1. To impose a temporary road closure on A356 Dorchester Road, Maiden Newton from the junction with Neils View to a point 100 metres to the east of Crockway House (in both directions), an overall distance of approximately 2360 metres. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
2. To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on A356 Dorchester Road, Maiden Newton from the junction with Neils View to a point 100 metres to the east of Crockway House (in both directions), an overall distance of approximately 2360 metres. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Closure of Dorchester Hill, Blandford St Mary
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Dorchester Hill, Blandford St Mary between Beckett Close and Esme Avenue a distance of approximately 100 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 18 October 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 29 October 2021. This Order has been requested to allow Ford Civil Engineering to install Street lighting jointing pits and carry out additional trenching works to lower the existing storm drainage within the carriageway.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using Folly Lane, Upper School Lane, Lower School Lane, Birch Avenue, Railway Roundabout, Bournemouth Road, Chettel Way, Beckett Close and vice versa.

Temporary Closure of Underdown Hollow, Bradford Abbas
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Underdown Hollow, Bradford Abbas between its junctions with Grants Hill and Babylon Hill, a distance of approximately 2450 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 18 October 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28 October 2021.
This Order will enable Barden Network Engineering agents of Openreach, safe access and installation of new fibre cabling in the highway. An alternative vehicular route will be signed using: Babylon Hill A30 - Horsecastles Lane - Bradford Road.

Temporary Closure of New Lane, Cann
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along New Lane, Cann at the junction with Salisbury Road A30. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation on 21 October 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 8 November 2021. This Order will enable Chevron TM to carry out external works to a property, the property has only been made safe at present. With HGV and vehicles passing on the A30 the vibrations could cause further damage.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using: Higher Blandford Road B3081 -Salisbury Road A30.

Temporary Closure of Custom House Quay & Various Other Roads, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. The order will come into operation on the 4 October 2021, and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by the 14 April 2021. This Order will enable Dorset Council safe access to carry out works associated with the Public Realm scheme.
The effect of the Order is as follows and the restrictions listed below will be operational as and when indicated by signs on site;
1. To close Custom House Quay, from the junction with the Esplanade to its junction with St Marys Street.

2. To suspend all parking bays along Custom House Quay from its junction with The Esplanade to its junction with St Marys Street.

3 . To close Maiden Street between its junctions with Helen Lane and Custom House Quay.
4. To revoke the existing one way order on Maiden Street between Helen Lane and St Edmund Street and impose two way traffic flow to allow access to be maintained.

5. To close East Street between its junctions with Helen Lane and Custom House Quay.

6. To close South Parade at its junction with Custom House Quay.

7. To revoke the existing one way order on South Parade and impose two way traffic flow to allow access to be maintained.

8. To suspend all parking bays on South Parade.

9. To close Pilgrims Way at its junction with Custom House Quay.

10. To revoke the existing one way order on Pilgrims Way and impose two way traffic flow to allow access to be maintained.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions on a section of Radipole Lane and Hereford Road.

Temporary Closure of Nottington Lane, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Nottington Lane, Weymouth, from the junction of Harbour Hill north to Nottington Lane Northern Spur to Borough Boundary and from this point west a long Nottington Lane, a distance of approximately 12.5 metres in both directions. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 4 October 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18 October 2021.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and lining of culvert works.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
