(Various Roads, Stanway/Birch/Copford) (Colchester Zoo Half Marathon) (Special Events) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & One Way) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 16 A-C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 [hereinafter referred to as the 1984 order'] as amended intends to make the above Order to facilitate the Colchester Zoo Half Marathon.
Effect of the order
1) To temporarily close the following roads in the Borough of Colchester: B1022 Maldon Road, Stanway/Birch - From its junction with Warren Lane to the junction with Beckingham Hall Road. Fountain Lane, Birch/Copford - From its junction with B1022 Maldon Road to its junction with Birch Road (entire length). Birch Road/ Easthorpe Road/Boarded Barn Road, Birch/Copford - From the junction with Fountain Lane to its junction with Rectory Road (northern junction). Rectory Road, Birch/Copford - From the junction with Easthorpe Road, generally south west then east to its junction with Hardy's Green. Hardy's Green, Birch - From outside property No.2 Stablefield Cottages, north east for a distance of approximately 190 metres to its {unction with Birch Road. Beckingham Hall Road, Birch -From its junction with Birch Road, east to its junction with B1022 Maldon Road.
2) To temporarily introduce a one way on the following length of B1022 Maldon Road, Stanway in the Borough of Colchester, From its junction with Warren Lane east to its junction with the access road to Colchester Zoo, a distance of approximately 604 metres (Permitted direction of travel Eastbound).
The restrictions are scheduled to commence on 10/10/2021 for 1 day between the hours of 8:30am -12.30pm or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting and is required to facilitate the Colchester Zoo Half Marathon. The alternative route will be via Maldon Road/Straight Road/ Dugard Ave/Peartree Road/Blackberry Road/Church Lane/London Road B14087School Road/Birch Road/Rectory Road/Easthorpe Road/Well Lane/Easthorpe Road/Lodge Road/Harborough Hall Road/ Maldon Road Bl022/Lower Road/School Hill/Birch Street/Layer Breton Hill/Layer Road B1026/Wigborough Road B1026/Malting Green Road/Abberton Road/Bounstead Road/Berechurch Road/ Gosbecks Road.
Marshalls on site will permit access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians throughout the event. The Order will come into effect on 10/10/2021 and may continue in force for 3 days unless extended by the Secretary of State.
(Footpath 3, Weeley) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close footpath 3, Weeley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with footpath 4 for a distance of approximately 218 metres in a north westerly direction to a point where footpath 3 turns east. The closure is scheduled to commence on 01/10/2021 to 01/04/2022 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while archaeological excavations are undertaken. The alternative route will be via footpath 3,4 and temporary diversion route (follows the edge of the field) and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 01/10/2021 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Bateman Road/Church Road, Brightlingsea) [Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Bateman Road, Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Church Road to its junction with Samsons Road a distance of approximately 165m.
2. To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Brightlingsea in the District of Tendring from its junction with Manor House Way to its junction with Bateman Road a distance of approximately 115m.
3. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction in the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures only.
"The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The closures/restrictions are scheduled to commence on 23rd October 2021 for 9 nights (19:00 - 06:30), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2317666 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures/ restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while pedestrian island construction works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Church Road, Samsons Road and vice versa or Church Road, Spring Chase, Lower Park Road, Chestnut Way, Marennes Crescent, Manor House Way and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 7th October 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Boxted Church Road, Great Horkesley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boxted Church Road, Great Horkesley in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 240m north east of its junction with Nayland Road/The Causeway for a distance of approximately 340m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th October 2021 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WCLC5H6W - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Boxted Church Road, The Causeway, Ivy Lodge Road, Horkesley Road, Straight Road, Carters Hill, Parsonage Hill, Church Road, Church Lane and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 7th October 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Coach Road, Great Horkesley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of Coach Road, Great Horkesley in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 65m south west of its junction with Braebum Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a south westerly direction. Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of Earls Colne Road, Great Tey in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 180m west of its junction with Newbam Road for a distance of approximately 240m in a westerly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th October 2021 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01459238298 - Anglian Water). (Grove Hill, Langham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of Grove Hill, Langham in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with School Road to its junction with Perry Lane a distance of approximately 70m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th October 2021 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03059036762 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter exchange works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of Hawkins Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Hythe Station Road for a distance of approximately 80m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th October 2021 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010563344 - Anglian Water). Effect of the order To temporarily close that length of Haynes Green Road, Layer Marney in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Maldon Road to its junction with Clears Road a distance of approximately 1360m. (Various Roads, Borough of Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway (No.12) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of road in the Borough of Colchester as specified in schedule 1.
2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road and those in schedule 2 for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 7th October 2021 exact dates will be specified on one. network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
