LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) (ST GEORGE'S ROAD, SW19)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate crane works to be undertaken in St George's Road, SW19, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person will:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in St George's Road, from a point 63 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Wimbledon Hill Road, south-westward to its junction with Francis Grove; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading any vehicle, in St George's Road and in the length of Francis Grove which lies between Worple Road and St George's Road; or
(c) enter or proceed on the south-eastern footway of the road or length of road specified in paragraph (a) above.
3. The restrictions will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. During the works, the following will be suspended:-
(a) any designated parking place situated in St George's Road, including those intended for electric vehicle charging;
(b) the prohibition on vehicles turning right from Worple Road into Wimbledon Hill Road;
(c) the prohibition on vehicles turning left from Wimbledon Hill Road into Worple Road; and
(d) the bus lane in Worple Road at its junction with Wimbledon Hill Road.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Francis Grove, Worple Road and Wimbledon Hill Road or vice-versa.
6. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. Nothing in the Order will apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or
(d) so as to prevent pedestrian access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.
8. The Order will come into operation on Sunday 10th October 2021, with the works anticipated to be carried out that day between the hours of 6am and 8pm, with Sunday 17th October 2021 and Sunday 24th October 2021 scheduled as back-up dates. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 3 months and its provisions will be re-introduced during that period should any further crane works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) AND 14(7) (THORNTON ROAD, SW19)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice, that to facilitate footway reconstruction and maintenance works to be undertaken in the length of road specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Notice, they have made an Order, the effect of which, during the works, will be to temporarily prohibit:-
(a) pedestrians from entering or proceeding on the footways in that length of road; and
(b) vehicular traffic from parking or waiting in that length of road.
2. Pedestrians affected by a footway closure should proceed via the adjacent footway.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice will be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road. The works will be carried out under a rolling programme of parking suspension to minimise inconvenience to residents.
4. The restrictions will apply only during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Any vehicle in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and the Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes,
subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency;
(d) any person requiring pedestrian access to properties adjacent to the prohibited footways insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
7. The Order will come into force on Monday 4th October 2021 and the anticipated works dates are listed in column 2 of the Schedule to this Notice. However, the Order will remain in operation until 26 September 2022 during which its provisions will be re-introduced should further works be required.

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate crane works to be undertaken in Southey Road, SW19, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Southey Road, from its junction with The Broadway and the rear access road to No. 165 The Broadway; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in paragraph (a) above;
(c) enter or proceed on the western footway of the road or length of road specified in paragraph (a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via The Broadway, Montague Road, and Griffiths Road, or vice-versa.
6. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. Nothing in the Order would apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or
(d) so as to prevent pedestrian access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.
8. The Order would come into operation on Monday 18th October 2021, with the works anticipated to be carried out the same day. However, the Order would remain in force for a maximum period of 3 months and its provisions would be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) CAVENDISH AVENUE, NEW MALDEN
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate new water connection works in Cavendish Avenue, New Maiden, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Cavendish Avenue, New Maiden, between its junction with Burlington Road and the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 3 Cavendish Avenue, New Maiden; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above; or
(c) enter or proceed in the eastern footway of the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in that road or length of road.
4. The restrictions and suspensions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to the properties in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Belmont Avenue, Burlington Road and Claremont Avenue.
7. Pedestrians affected by a footway closure should proceed using the footway opposite.
8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
9. The Order would come into operation on Monday 25th October 2021 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed by 25 February 2022. However, the Order would remain in force for 6 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) BEULAH ROAD, SW19
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer connection works in Beulah Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works:-
(a) no person would cause or permit any vehicle to :-
(i) enter or proceed in Beulah Road, from its junction with Hartfield Crescent north-eastward for a distance of 50 metres; or
(ii) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of Beulah Road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above;
(b) the one-way working in Beulah Road would be suspended; and
(c) the width restriction in Dundonald Road near its junction with Fairlawn Road would be suspended to facilitate a diversion.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed by way of Hartfield Road (north-westbound), The Broadway, Gladstone Road, Sir Cyril Black Way, Hartfield Road (south-eastbound), Kingston Road, Merton Hall Road and Dundonald Road.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
7. The Order would come into operation on Monday 11th October 2021 with the works anticipated to be finished within 2 weeks. However, the Order would remain in operation for a maximum period of three months and its provisions would be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.
