Distribution of Funds to Members The York Police Social Club ceased active operation in 2001 but still retains certain funds. On 16 July 2012 the High Court in Leeds ordered that the net funds should be distributed to former Full members as at 31 March 2001 and in accordance with this legal notice. We are anxious to make contact with surviving former members of the Club who are, or who think they may be, entitled to benefit. If you, or someone you know, was employed as a regular police officer, traffic warden or civilian employee of North Yorkshire Police and: were stationed within the districts of York, Selby or Tadcaster on 31 March 2001; or having been stationed within the districts of York, Selby or Tadcaster before 31 March 2001, were stationed elsewhere on 31 March 2001 but still resided within one of those districts on that date; please contact the below email address within two months of the date of this notice, that is by 30th April 2014. For each individual you wish to notify to us, please provide the full name and address, date of birth, national insurance number, warrant number/shoulder number where relevant, and details of the period of employment and/or residence sufficient to provide evidence of entitlement. Please also provide the name of your bank, sort code, account number and name of account to assist in the distribution of the funds once we are in a position to do so. (Please note the holding account does not have a cheque or cash facility ) A contact email address and phone number for follow up enquiries and further information would also be useful. It is essential that any entitlement claim is made within two months.
