ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ('the Council') proposes to make the Orders named below under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which if they come into force will introduce the following:-
BRIGHTON & HOVE VARIOUS CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2018 AMENDMENT ORDER NO.* 202* (TRO-23A-2021)
- Amend loading restrictions on North Street between Queens Road and Dyke Road to 8am to 8pm
BRIGHTON & HOVE (BUS LANES) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2018 AMENDMENT ORDER NO.* 202* (TRO-23B-2021)
- Introduce a bus only route (Monday to Sunday 8am to 8pm) in North Street for vehicles travelling westbound towards Dyke Road and Western Road from West Street.
- Introduce a bus only route (at any time) in Dyke Road and North Street for vehicles travelling south-eastwards from Queen Square to Queens Road
- Remove the bus lane in Dyke Road from Regent Row to Queen Square
BRIGHTON & HOVE (TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) (WESTERN ROAD AREA BRIGHTON) ORDER 202* (TRO-23C-2021)
- Amend the Prohibition of Driving at Spring Street and Castle Street from Western Road to allow pedal cycles.
A copy of this Notice, the proposed Orders, plans showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be seen online at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/current-tros.
All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Orders must be made in writing and all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and should be sent to the Executive Director Economy, Environment & Culture, Brighton & Hove City Council Parking Infrastructure, Room G40, Hove Town Hall, Norton Road Hove, BN3 3BQ quoting the TRO reference number shown above or by e-mail to parking.consultation@brighton-hove.gov.uk or online (see details above) no later than 15 October 2021.
