THE M606 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 1 TO JUNCTION 3) AND THE M62 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 25 TO JUNCTION 26) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the M606 Motorway and the M62 Motorway, in the Districts of Kirklees, Calderdale and Bradford to enable barrier renewal, lighting column repairs, and routine maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Monday 27 September 2021 and will take place periodically over a period of 3 months and will end on Monday 27 December 2021. The works will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am.
that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the M606 Motorway and the M62 Motorway, in the Districts of Kirklees, Calderdale and Bradford to enable barrier renewal, lighting column repairs, and routine maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Monday 27 September 2021 and will take place periodically over a period of 3 months and will end on Monday 27 December 2021. The works will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am.
The effect of the Order will be to close, at times during the works, the:
(i) M606 southbound carriageway from 130 metres north of the Staygate Interchange North Overbridge to its merge with the M62 westbound carriageway

at Chain Bar (M606 Junction 1, M62 Junction 26), a distance of 4920 metres;
(ii) M606 northbound carriageway from its diverge with the M62 eastbound carriageway at Chain Bar to 115 metres north of the Staygate Interchange North Overbridge, a distance of 4820 metres;

(iii) M62 eastbound carriageway from the exit slip road at Junction 25 (Brighouse) to the entry slip road at Junction 26 (Chair Bar), a distance of 6380 metres;

(iv) M606 northbound entry and southbound exit slip roads at Junction 1 (Chain Bar);

(v) M606 northbound exit and southbound exit and entry slip roads at Junction 2 (Euroway);

(vi) M606 northbound exit and southbound entry at Junction 3 (Staygate);

(vii) link road connecting the M606 southbound carriageway with the M62 eastbound carriageway at Chain Bar;

(viii) M62 eastbound entry slip road at Junction 25;

(ix) M62 eastbound exit slip road at Junction 26;

(x) M62 eastbound entry and exit slip roads at Hartshead Moor Services;

(xi) emergency refuge areas adjacent to the M62 eastbound carriageway approximately 2230 metres and 3200 metres east of the centre point of the Brighouse Interchange East Overbridge at Junction 25; and

(xii) emergency refuge area adjacent to the M606 southbound carriageway approximately 1600 metres south of the entry slip road at Junction 2.

During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes).
