SOUTHEND-ON-SEA BOROUGH COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC PARKING, WAITING, LOADING & UNLOADING) (VARIOUS FOOTWAY WORKS) ORDER 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council on 17th September 2021 has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

1. The Council will be carrying out various footway resurfacing works within the Borough, and it is anticipated that these works will be completed between October 2021 and May 2022.

2. The proposed works are listed in Table 1 to this notice and will be carried out in various phases designed to minimise disruption whilst enabling the schemes to be completed in safety.

3. Further details regarding the impact of the scheme and the actual traffic management controls being applied will be included in notifications in advance of each phase, to residents and businesses as required, not forming part of this Order.

4. The effect of the order will be to prohibit any vehicle from waiting or stopping in the roads included in Table 1 to this notice.

The Order will come into effect on 1st October 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
Access for emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians will be always maintained during the closure.
The prohibitions or restrictions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the TRAFFIC SIGNS REGULATIONS AND GENERAL DIRECTIONS 2016.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction/prohibition imposed by this Notice may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice and removed under the provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
