Herefordshire Council Notice of Making
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: A44, Mill Street, Leominster .Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the A44, Mill Street, Leominster, Approximately 50 metres from either side of the level crossing. Grid Ref: 350014/259498. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Mill Street, onto the Leominster Bypass, onto Southern Avenue, onto Hereford Road, onto South Street, onto Westbury Street, onto Cursneh Road, onto New Street, onto Broad Street, onto Bridge Street and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to level crossing repairs works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 2nd of October 2021 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
