SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL TRAFFIC ORDERS

TRAFFIC ORDERS

Notice is HEREBY GIVEN that Swindon Borough Council proposes to make the following Orders under the relevant sections of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be:

Swindon Borough Council (Waiting and Loading Restrictions

and Parking Places Consolidation) Order 2021

(Variation No. 2) 2021 Ref: (ST&I/TRO/White Hart Junction)

Introduction of 'No Waiting Any Time on the realigned Ermin Street (both sides), Cullerne Road (both sides at the junction with Wanborough Road) and Wanborough Road (west side at the junction with Cullerne Road). Amendment of the 24 hour clearway on Oxford Road (both sides) east of the new junction with Ermin Street. Revocation of the 24 hour clearway on the Old Ermin St alignment. Introduction of a bus stop clearway on Oxford Road where stopping is prohibited except for buses. Introduction of No stopping zone (white zig zags) on approach and exit from the signalised crossing on Ermin Street.

Swindon Borough Council (Waiting and Loading Restrictions

and Parking Places Consolidation) Order 2021

(Variation No. 13) 2021 Ref: (ST&I/TRO/Fortuna Road)

To introduce 'no waiting at any time' outside No's 40 & 42 Fortuna Road, Blunsdon, (east side).

Merlin Way And Wanborough Road 30mph And 40mph Speed Limit Orders Ref: (ST&I/TRO/Wanborough Road)



Revocation of the 40mph speed limit on Wanborough Road Extend the current 30mph speed limit on Merlin Way/ Wanborough Road from south of the junction with Kingfisher Drive to the junction of Burycroft and Horpit. Reinstate restricted road status for the speed limit of 30mph by virtue of street-lighting on Merlin Way from Merlin Roundabout.

The Swindon Borough Council (Ermin Street, Swindon) (Prohibition of Right Turn) Order 2021

Ref: (ST&I/TRO/Ermin Street)

To prohibit the right turn manoeuvre from Ermin Street onto A4312 Oxford Road.

Swindon Borough Council (Hay Lane (U/C 3058), Elcombe (U/C 3060) And Salthrop Farm Lane (U/C 3089), Wroughton) (Weight Restriction) Order 2021 Ref: (ST&I/TRO/Hay Lane)

To amend the existing 7.5t Weight Restriction (except for access) on Hay Lane (U/C 3058), Salthrop Farm Lane (U/C 3089) and Elcombe (U/C 3060) by relocating the 7.5 tonne restriction on Hay Lane (U/C 3058) from the junction with the B4005 Wharf Road to the new priority junction with the B4005 Hay Lane as part of the Wichelstowe Southern Access Scheme.

Swindon Borough Council Southern Wichelstowe Access Road Speed Limit Orders Ref: (ST&I/TRO/WSA Road Speed Limit)

B4005 Hay Lane from access road to the Garden Centre to the new roundabout junction with B4005 Wharf Road and Wichel Way.

Hay Lane unclassified from the junction with the B4005 Hay Lane to south of the residential property known as The Wharf. B4005 Wharf Road from the new roundabout junction with the B4005 Hay Lane and Wichel Way to west of Costow Farm Cottages. Introduction of 40mph speed limit on the circulatory of the new roundabout junction of Hay Lane and Wharf Road and on Wichel Way for a distance of 70 metres from the roundabout.
