(Route B743 Main Street, Sorn) (Temporary Road Closure and Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2021
On 14/09/21 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012, and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above named Order. This Order will make it unlawful for any vehicles to contravene any of the restrictions on any of the length of road stated below, by reason of facilitating resurfacing works to be executed on or near the road. All works are weather dependent.
This Order makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle or for any vehicle to wait on either side of B743 Main St, Sorn, from a point 20m northwest of its junction with Anderson Cres south-eastwards to the west side of its junction with Woodlands Rd, restrictions imposed daily from 08:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs.
Alternative Route: via B713 to Catrine, B705, B713 to A76, A76 to Mauchline and B743 to Sorn and vice versa;
Emergency access and pedestrian access will be maintained during the closures and through the works site.
Vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closure will be permitted to and from their properties when it is safe to do so and when directed by a Traffic Marshal.
The Order shall come into force at 08:00 hrs on 09/10/21 until 18:00 hrs on 24/10/21, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
