(Footpath 16, Earls Colne) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2021
Notice Is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 16, Earls Colne in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Footpath 15, Earls Colne in a southerly direction to its junction with (A1124) Halstead for its entire length.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 20 September 2021 to 25 September 2021 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce whilst investigatory works are carried out. The Order will come into effect on 20 September 2021 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Ashen Road, Ovington) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ashen Road, Ovington in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Pannells Ash for a distance of approximately 340m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th October 2021 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2319276 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Ashen Road, Tilbury Road, Clare Road, Airfield Road, Foxes Road, Pannells Ash and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 16th September 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Church Road, Cressing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Cressing in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Polecat Road to its junction with Temple Lane a distance of approximately 1655m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th October 2021 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2318886 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Temple Lane, Witham Road, Polecat Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 16th September 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Gestingthorpe Road, Great Maplestead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Gestingthorpe Road, Great Maplestead in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Monks Lodge Road for a distance of approximately 230m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th October 2021 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30023356626 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Gestingthorpe Road, Great Maplestead Road, Hedingham Road, Sudbury Road, Great Maplestead Road, Monks Lodge Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 16th September 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Water Lane, Stisted in the District of Braintree, from its junction with The Street for a distance of approximately 225m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th October 2021 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30089735603 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Water Lane, Bridge Hall Road, A120, A131, Colchester Road, Greenstead Hall Road, Church Road, Grange Hill, Stisted Road, Brook Farm Road, Tumblers Green, Greenstead Green Road, Back Lane and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 16th September 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Collins Road/Oak Road, Pebmarsh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Collins Road, Pebmarsh in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Oak Road for a distance of approximately 180m in a westerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Oak Road, Pebmarsh in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Twinstead Road for a distance of approximately 250m in a southerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 22nd September 2021 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit
(A5001CCESSA1A006932 & 3 - County Broadband Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while cable repair works are undertaken by County Broadband Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Oak Road, Birchleys Road, Levitts Corner, Byndes Comer, Pebmarsh Road, Sudbury Road, Catley Cross and vice versa (access only on Collins Road).
The Order came into effect on 2nd September 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) & (Temporary Introduction of Clearway) (Streetworks No.17) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those various lengths of roads in the District of Braintree as detailed in the Schedule.
2. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in the various lengths of road as detailed in the schedule.
3. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the various lengths of roads as specified in the schedule for the duration of the restrictions in order to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
4. "The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works are scheduled to commence after 2nd September 2021, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/ leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road. The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while superfast installation cabling works are undertaken by Gigaclear.
The Order came into effect on 2nd September 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
