(A814 ALDER GATE HELENSBURGH) (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2021
Argyll and Bute Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991), and having complied with the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992, being satisfied that traffic, for the purposes Df road safety should be restricted due to the introduction of a new junction on the road specified in the Schedule to this Order, hereby makes the following Order: -
1. This Order may be cited as "The Argyll and Bute Council (A814 Alder Gate Helensburgh) (Temporary Speed Restrictions) Order 2021" and will be effective from 0001 hours on Monday the Twentieth day of September Two Thousand and Twenty One and will remain in force until Monday the Thirtieth of March Two Thousand and Twenty Three or until this Order is revoked.

2. No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 mph on the length of road specified in Schedule 1 of the Order.

3. No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 mph on the length of road specified in Schedule 2 of the Order.

Given under the Seal of Argyll and Bute Council and signed for them and on their behalf by David Logan, Head of Legal and Regulatory Support and Proper Officer at Lochgilphead on, Wednesday the First day of September Two Thousand and Twenty One. SCHEDULE 1 - 30MPH SPEED LIMIT
That length of the Dumbarton-Arrochar Road (Route A814), within the town of Helensburgh, from a point 305 metres south easterly of the extended east kerb line of the entrance road to Hermitage Academy in a south easterly direction to a point 5 metres west of the extended west kerb line of the entrance road to lona Stable for a distance of 240 metres or thereby.

SCHEDULE 2 - 40MPH SPEED LIMIT
Length of Road in Argyll and Bute
That length of the Dumbarton-Arrochar Road (Route A814), within the town of Helensburgh, from a point 5 metres west of the extended west kerb line of the entrance road to lona Stable in a south easterly direction for a distance of 420 metres or thereby.
