SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Moor Green, Corsham; from its junction with Westwells to its junction with Moor Barton to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out excavation works to lay cables, build chambers and cabinets. Alternative route via Moor Barton, Leafleld Road, Elley Green, Leafield Way, Moor Barton, Upper PotJey, Westwells and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 October 2021 and the closure will be required for 4 days. B) Mill Street, Trowbridge; from its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Court Street; C) Court Street, Trowbridge; from its junction with Mortimer Street for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 04 October 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 until 11 October 2021. D) Great Chalfield Road, Atworth; from its junction with C212 to its junction with Chalfield Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun works to stabilise the edge of the carriageway and associated works. Alternative route via Chalfield Road -Summer Lane - Leigh Road - Little Chalfield Road - C231 -C169-C212 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 October 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 5 days. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: E) Granville Road, Melksham; from its junction with A350 to its junction with Riverside Drive; FJ Portman Road, Melksham; from its junction with Granville Road to its junction with Riverside Drive; G) Riverside Drive, Melksham; for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out application of Micro Asphalt, adjustment of ironwork, reinstatement of road markings and associated maintenance works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 14 September 2021 and the closures will be required consecutively for 1 day. H) Southwick Road, North Bradley; from its junction with Westbury Road to its junction with Bradley Road; I) Bradley Road, Southwick; from its junction with Southwick Road to its junction with Goose Street; j) Goose Street, Southwick; from its junction with Bradley Road to its junction with Wynsome Street; K) Wynsome Street, Southwick; from its junction with Goose Street to its junction with A361 to enable Wiltshire Council to cany out application of Micro Asphalt, adjustment of ironwork, reinstatement of road markings and associated maintenance works. Alternative route via A361, A363, Westbury Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 September 2021 and the closures will be required between the hours of 09.00 and 15.30 until 17 September 2021. L) C242 (Part), Hawkstreet and Durlett Road, Bromham and Rowde; from its junction with A342 to its junction with Cock Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out edge overrun works to stabilise and improve the roadside verges. Alternative route via A342, C255 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 September 2021 and the closure will be required for 5 days. The closures and diversion routes (where applicable) will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
