Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to: Temporarily prohibit right turn movements from: a) A36 Salisbury Road into A3094 Netherhampton Road, Quidhampton/Wilton; b) C320 Race Plain Road into A3094, Wilton/Netherhampton; c) Wellworttiy Drive into A3094, Netherhampton; d) Montague Road into A3094, Salisbury; e) Norfolk Road into A3094, Salisbury; f) Saxon Road into A3094, Salisbury; g) Hollows Close into A3094, Salisbury; h) Folkestone Road into A3094, Salisbury; i) Old Blandford Road into A3094, Salisbury. And to temporarily prohibit left turn movements from: j) A36 Wilton Road into A3094 Netherhampton Road, Quidhampton/Wilton; k) C368 Lower Road into A3094, Quidhampton; I) Old Netherhampton Road into A3094, Netherhampton; m) Upper Street into A3094, Salisbury; n) Lower Street into A3094, Salisbury. And to close temporarily to all vehicular traffic: o) New Canal, Salisbury; from its junction with Catherine Street to its junction with High Street; p) High Street, Salisbury; from its junction with New Canal to its junction with Silver Street/Bridge Street; q) Bridge Street, Salisbury; from its junction with High Street to its junction with Fisherton Street; r) Fisherton Street, Salisbury; from its junction with Bridge Street to its junction with A36 St. Paul's Roundabout; s) South Western Road, Salisbury; from its junction with Fisherton Street to its junction with Mill Road; t) Mill Road (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with South Western Road to its junction with Churchfields Road. And to close temporarily to all traffic travelling in the directions specified: u) A3094 (Part), Wilton, Quidhampton and Netherhampton; from its junction with A36 Wilton Road for a distance of approximately 1.4km to its junction with C320 Race Plain Road (southbound traffic only); y) A3094 (Part), Netherhampton, Salisbury; from its junction with C320 Race Plain Road for a distance of approximately 4km to its junction with Harnham Road/A3094 New Hamham Road (eastbound traffic only). Alternative route: via A3094 (unaffected length) - A338 - A36 and vice versa. These temporary traffic measures are required to safeguard members of the public and competitors whilst enabling the Salisbury Half Marathon to take place. This Order will come into operation on Sunday 3 October 2021 with the exception of vehicles officially involved in the marathon, vehicles being used for ambulance, police or fire brigade purposes, or the purpose of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, or with permission being given by a Police Constable in uniform. Restrictions (a) to (n) are anticipated to be required between 12:00 -15:30. Closures (o) to (t) are anticipated to be required between 11:45 - 12:15. SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Church Road (Part), Milston; from a point outside property known as The Old Dairy for approximately 30m in an easterly direction to enable MJ Abbott to carry out new sewer connection and associated works. Alternative route via Church Road, (unaffected length) - C32 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 September 2021 and the closure will be required for 5 days. B) Rollestone Street (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Salt Lane in a southerly direction for 200m to enable Southern Cranes & Access Ltd to carry out Crane usage and associated works. Alternative route for vehicles other than HGVs: Salt Lane - St Edmunds Church Street - Milford Street. Alternative route for HGVs: Endless Street - Brown Street - Bourne Hill -Estcourt Street - A36 - Exeter Street - St Johns Street. This Order will come into operation on 18 September 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 until 19 September 2021. C) C292 (Part), Durnford; from its junction with A345 to its junction with Jubilee Hill to enable Openreach to carry out access to overhead structure for customer cabling and associated works. Alternative route via C292 (unaffected length) - C294 - C56 - A345 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 24 May 2021 will now recommence on 14 September 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00 until 17 September 2021. Orders A) and B) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order C) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
