Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE Is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U72003, Witherstone Lane From Knapp Green, Carey, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U72003, Witherstone Lane From Knapp Green, Carey, approximately 200 metres north of Nortons Point Road. Grid Ref: 355739/231699. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Witherstone Lane onto the C1267, onto Kilforge Road, onto Witherstone Lane and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to embankment remedial works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 27th of September 2021 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the worksare expected to be completed within 3 weeks.
