BRIGHTON & HOVE VARIOUS CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2018 AMENDMENT ORDER NO.19 2021 CTRO-16-2020)
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ("the Council") has on 18 August 2021 made the above-named Order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into operation on 28 August 2021 will make permanent the following changes: In Zone C
18
? Reduce paid parking bays in St James's Street
? Reduce and relocate loading bays and disabled bays on St James's Street (disabled bay between Wentworth St and Margaret Street will be time-restricted)
? Reinstate no loading restrictions on St James's Street where footways have been widened
? New taxi rank on Old Steine just north of junction with St James's Street
In Zone N
? Relocated Blue Badge Holders parking bays on Church Road near Hove Library
? Reduction in paid parking bays on Church Road near Hove Library
? Removal of motorcycle bay on Church Road, north side west of George Street.
In Zone Y
? Introduce sections of no loading restrictions on London Road, where footways have been widened.
? Make changes to paid parking bays, loading bays and disabled bays in London Road to accommodate the changes to the footway.
The changes described above were originally the subject of an experimental traffic order that was advertised on 31 July 2020; Brighton & Hove (St James Street, Church Road and London Road) (Various Restrictions) Experimental Order 2020 (TRO-16-2020) and subsequent amendment advertised on 23 October 2020; Brighton & Hove (St James Street, Church Road and London Road) (Various Restrictions) Experimental Order 2020 Amendment Order No.1 2020 (TRO-16a-2020) A copy of this Notice, the Order as made and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be seen online at

Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
