A34 TRUNK ROAD -MARCHAM INTERCHANGE TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A34 Trunk Road in the County of Oxfordshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed in the vicinity of the road. The effect of the Order is to authorise the overnight closure of all the roads
leading to and from the A34 at Marcham Interchange (A415). This measure is in the interests of road safety while contractors working on behalf of Oxfordshire County Council undertake carriageway repairs and associated works on
the junction roundabout. It is expected that the work will last for approximately 1 night starting on or after Monday 6th September 2021. The overnight closures will take place between 20:00 and 06:00 (maximum period). The Order will come into force on 4 September 2021 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the
works are complete. Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted under Oxfordshire County Council control using other junctions on the A34, and by using the A338, A415, A417, A420, A4130, A4183, B4017, Dunmore Road, Copenhagen Drive, and Colwell Drive. The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
