Prohibition of A Right Hand Turn Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 1, 2,3 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984, has made the Wigan Borough (Slag Lane Lowton - Prohibition of a Right Hand Turn) (Prohibition of Driving) Order 2021 which will come into operation on 1st September 2021. The effect of the Order is to introduce a prohibition of right turn for vehicles which are proceeding from Slag Lane to Scott Road on Monday-Friday between 7.30am to 9.30am.

if necessary. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground -
(a) that it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or

(b) that any requirement of the said Section 1, or Part III of Schedule 9 to the said Act, or of any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9,has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 11th August 2021 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
